This week I am finishing up the final draft of a new book, TOXIC BEAUTY, about the cancer and other serious health dangers we are exposed to daily in the mainstream cosmetics and personal care products that most of us so promiscuously use.

The book is based on decades of research by Dr. Samuel Epstein, founder and chairman of the Cancer Prevention Coalition, and I am honored to be associated with him in what will read like part two of my book, The Hundred Year Lie.

Because our skin is our largest body organ, and anything we put on it, such as cosmetics and personal care products, ends up being rapidly absorbed and these chemicals bypass the detoxifying enzymes of the liver, cosmetics and personal care products are our most direct and most avoidable category of risks for cancer, hormone disruption, and other diseases and ailments. The toxic ingredients in these products will be revealed and their health impacts documented. Lists of safe products will also be provided that can be used as an alternative to protect your health and that of the people in your life who depend on you and your good judgment.
